Oil and Stone

The advantage to oil and stone is that it's durable, attractive, and costs less than paving. We offer our oil and stone finishes in a variety of colors.

There are many ways in which oil and stone are applied, depending on your needs.

Depending on the condition of your current surface you may want to do a single or double seal. Both processes include patching of cracks and potholes. Next a layer of liquid asphalt and a layer of stone is applied before the surface is rolled into place. A double seal will repeat the liquid asphalt, stone and rolling process.

If you have gravel, dirt or compacted stone as your base surface, we consider that a new construction. We will level the site and roll out the base material. Once prepared, the process is as follows:

  1. Layer of stone
  2. Layer of liquid asphalt
  3. Layer of stone
  4. Roll into place
  5. Layer of liquid asphalt
  6. Layer of smaller stone
  7. Roll into place
